Many people are still oblivious to the wealth of Summer Activities that Chamonix has to offer during the warmer months. Once the snow has melted we are left with a summer paradise in which to Walk or Hike, Mountain Bike (MTB), Paraglide, Rock Climb or just lie back amongst the summer flowers & take in the stunning scenery. The Lift System is open during the summer, making it easy to access those high mountain trails & viewpoints. If you fancy something more daring such as Climbing Mont Blanc, then there are numerous Mountain Guides & Activity Companies in the area who can guide you safely to the top. You don't even need to worry about bringing your own mountain bike or climbing equipment with you as there are plenty Sport Shops in town where you can rent all you need.

Lift Pass Options for Chamonix - Summer
The Chamonix Valley consists of seven separate lift areas that cater for a whole host of individuals - from skiers and snowboarders, mountaineers and climbers, hikers and mountain bikers, to those simply wishing to enjoy the more leisurely pursuit of admiring the beauty of the surrounding mountains. With such variety on your doorstep, it makes sense that there are a number of different lift passes available so that you can tailor your purchase to the ability and preferences of your group.
Lift passes are available from the base of each lift station, the Montenvers railway cash desk or in advance on-line purchases can be made via the Compagnie du Mont Blanc website. Visa, Mastercard and Amex credit cards are all accepted. Don't forget that your lift pass also provides you with free access to the bus and train system that runs throughout the Chamonix Valley so you can leave your car at home!
