The Alfred Wills refuge was built relatively recently in the 1980s by the Sixt commune and has a simple but cosy feel and is surrounded by some of the valley’s most stunning scenery. The refuge has 53 places available, in dormitories from 2 to 10 people. Bed linen is provided at the cost of €3.50. Booking must be made in advance by contacting the refuge owner.
Half board is offered at €38 for adults and €28 for children under 14, per night. Half board includes breakfast and a delicious evening meal, starting with home-made soup, followed by a choice of roast pork or Fondue, finishing with cheese and desert.
Accommodation only is €11 per night. Breakfast and dinner can still be bought for €7 and €21 respectively. If you wish to make your own food, the refuge can provide cooking facilities for €5.
The Alfred Wills refuge is open for the summer from 15 June 2013 to 22 September 2013.
