Refuge des Conscrits (2580m), Massif du Mont-Blanc
In the heart of natural reserve of Les Contamines-Montjoie
This modern mountain hut is very comfortable in comparison to other refuges; it is open from mid-March to mid-September.
During the spring and summer months, the refuge is staffed and offers up to 90 beds split between 10 dormitories on a half board, B&B, or bed only basis. Camping onsite is also permitted.
The restaurant is open throughout the day and picnic lunches can be provided on request. The refuge is unstaffed during the winter months but one dormitory of 10 beds is left open on a self-service basis.

Directions
The route to the refuge takes approximately 5hrs. To access the hut, take the forest trail from Le Cugnon, 'Tre-la-Tete', and continue toward the glacier. The route continues across the glacier and is marked by metal stairs. On exiting the glacier take the path to the right which leads directly to the refuge. On reserving your place, we advise that you confirm the route and the current conditions with the refuge guardian.
