Mont-Blanc 10km 2018, Chamonix

Take your first steps in trail running

For people who would like an initiation into nature running there will be a 10km race that will allow newcomers to get a taste of trail running, through the winter cross country skiing route.

Starting and finishing in the Chamonix Valley, the 10km course follows the river into the woods of Les Bois, before climbing around 250 metres up to Lavancher and then dropping back down again along some fairly steep walking trails. It then loops back round to the river and finishes back at the starting line.

  • Nature race, with no refreshment station on the route (only one on the arrival)
  • 10km distance on the cross-country ski trails
  • Open from the 'Cadet' category and upward
  • Start in waves
  • Start on Saturday June 30th, 2018 at 1:00 pm
  • Registration includes: race bib, refreshments, t-shirt, safety pins, shower.

Recommended material depending weather conditions:

  • Waterproof and windproof jacket.
  • Stock of water minimum 0,50 liter.

Starts in waves:

This race is limited to 2000 runners. There will be several starts in waves to allow participants to run in the best conditions. Ski/walking poles are forbidden on this race.
