Fatal Chamonix speed riding accident
24 year old local man found dead

A young Chamonix local has died in a speed riding accident on the North face of the Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix. The 24 year old from Les Houches was speed riding (combined sport of skiing and paragliding) off the Aiguille du Midi on Monday when the accident happened.

Source »Workers at the top station of the Aiguille du Midi lift gave the alert to the mountain rescue services, who hurriedly made their way to the scene of the accident but sadly found the man lifeless. A full investigation is under-way as to the cause of the accident.
