Compagnie du Mont Blanc have just released the following information for the coming Toussaint holidays which run from 18th October to 2nd November. Here's what there is to see and do..

Aiguille du Midi

Open daily until Sunday 2nd November 2014, end of day. Annual closure from 3rd November to 19th of December 2014. Hours: 8:30 to 16:30 (last return from the top).

Please note: The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc is replacing the summit elevator. A new dual elevator with independent lifts, developed by Schindler Company, will be operational in spring 2015. As a result, the elevator, the summit terrace and the step in the Void are closed.

Both the Vertical cafe & shop at the bottom station and the 3842 restaurant at the summit are open.

Montenvers train, Crystal Gallery, Glaciorium, & Nature Temple

Open daily from 18 October to 2 November - Hours 10.00 to 16.30 (last return)

Please note: The Ice Cave and the cable car are now closed, reopening scheduled for 20th December 2014

The station cafe & shop will be open every day. The Grand Hotel Montenvers will be open daily for food & drinks from the 19th October 2014

Entertainment

Glaciological guided walks to discover the origins, life and the future of the mythical glacier (included in the ticket "Journey to the Mer de Glace).

Brevent

The Plan Praz telecabine will be open daily from 18th October to 2nd November 2014 - Hours 9:00h. to 16:15h. (last return)

Please note: Due to large number of visitors, various works are to be undertaken resulting in the non-opening of the Brevent cable car during the autumn holidays.

The Bergerie Restaurant will be open for take-away food.
