Two Irish Climbers Killed Yesterday in a fall on the Dent du Geant
Sunday afternoon accident in the Chamonix Valley
It has been announced that two mountaineers who suffered a fatal fall on the Dent du Geant yesterday afternoon were Irish.
One forty year old and one man in his fifties were seen by other mountaineers to have fallen, and alerted the PGHM (local mountain rescue services).
The two climbers were apparantly welll equipped and the PGHM will be investigating the cause of their accident.
