Le Courant d'Air Restaurant, Les HouchesRustic mountain hut, open for lunches & snacks
Sitting pretty next to the Mont Blanc Tram line with exceptional views across the valley and plenty of ye olde rural charm.
Le Courant d'Air is a charming old mountain shack serving traditional homemade cuisine. Family run with plenty of character, expect to be crammed into a warm and cosy, if slightly rickety dining room. Food is made from regional ingredients (cheese, cheese and more cheese), if you don't want a full meal then one of their homemade desserts with a coffee is a lovely afternoon treat.
Tables and chairs are laid out on the lawn on warmer winter days and throughout summer. The tram stops just outside, making it a good spot to grab a cuppa while you wait for your lift.
An interesting little sideline is the bars of scented soap make from donkey milk, each one attributed to a particular donkey from a local farm!
