Video Snow Report from Chamonix : Mon 30th Aug 2010 - Brits win 2010 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc in Chamonix

After terrible weather, cancellation and heartbreak the 2010 UTMB was won by Brits Jez Bragg and Lizzie Hawker.
Although the route was shortened, after bad weather made the full course unsafe, 1238 runners decided to tackle the 88km Courmeyer, Champex, Chamonix course and it was the Brits who came in first.

The last big event of the summer is just around the corner and Killian, Marco, Darwa and Lizzie are all going to be back to take on the 2010 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc.
The race leaves Chamonix at 18.30 next Friday, 27th, and all supporters are welcome.
If you can't make it to Cham to watch then log on next weekend for all the results from the competition.

August is in full swing and although the weather is not as sunny as it might be we have still got plenty going on here in Chamonix to keep us entertained.
This weekend is the Fetes des Guide, which is always a great party and we're looking forward to the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc at the end of the month.
Last weekend was the Chamonix Bikefest so I thought I'd give you a wee look at all the biking oppertunities Chamonix has to offer.

I'm back for my second report of the summer and as the weather has turned quite Scottish with plenty of low cloud and rain I thought it'd be a good idea to explore one of Scotland's favourite past times; Golf.
The Golf course in Chamonix is excellent with a full 18 holes, bar, club house, driving range and pro-shop and it's open every day throughout the summer.
There are no major events in town this week but the Chamonix tennis open begins this Saturday and everyone is welcome to take part.
