If you are prepared to go further afield, such as Les Praz, Le Lavencher, and Argentiere, you are highly likely to be pleasently surprised by what you find.

Authentic Italian Cuisine ... Famous amongst the Chamonix locals, Casa Valerio, never fails to impress every time you eat there.
This is the most authentic of Italians, run by Fanny and Valerio, the restaurant supplies all sorts of mouth watering dishes to get stuck into!
Casa Valerio creates the fantastic atmosphere expected in great Italian restaurants. The aromas of the excellent food surrounded with the ambiance of people enjoying their food and company makes this one of the best restaurants in Chamonix.
To start I chose the “Carpaccio Di Manzo Marinato, Parmigiano Regina” (13€). This generous portion of carpaccio of beef is one of the best I have tasted.
