The flying Frenchie Tancrede Melet makes a Chamonix first

Well know for his highlining and wingsuit flying stunts, including the first wingsuit flight from the Aiguille du la Republique in Chamonix and a walking a highline between the cable cars of the Vanoise Express in Les Arcs, Tancrede Melet has done it again.

After a lot of reconnaissance from the Italian side of Mont Blanc using his laser range-finder and scoping out possible jump sites, he found one.

At around 4,500m above sea level the top of the central pillar of the Freney route up Mont Blanc, he found a spot which he though at first may have boulders blocking the descent. Jumping from this spot, he made the first ever wing suit flight down 3,000m to the Val Veny and back to earth, a new first for Chamonix.

No doubt a video will be released shortly on his YouTube channel.
