New Innovation for the Marathon du Mont Blanc

Race profile tattoos - all the highs & lows printed on your arm!

The Mont Blanc Marathon weekend is now in full swing with the 80km already underway and the Vertical KM due to start at 4pm this afternoon.

Over the next couple of days we have the half-marathon, 10km and mini-cross tomorrow and the full marathon on Sunday - something for everyone!

If this is your first mountain race then the prospect of all those tough climbs may be daunting, not to mention the technical terrain and high altitude. A great new product has just been launched by our friends over at Sky-Lines - a temporary tattoo of the race profile, complete with distances, summits, aid stations, refreshment stops and time barriers.

The brain-storm of two Chamonix residents and keen trail runners - Charlotte and Bex - the tattoos have been thoroughly put through their paces on some of the valley's toughest routes. Sweat and rain-proof, they will stay in place for the duration of the race and then wipe off easily with nail polish remover afterwards.

Available for the Marathon and 80km events, they have been busy all day at their stall at the race expo in the centre of Chamonix, sticking tattoos onto outstretched arms - many of which are now powering their way around the 80km route! They still have plenty left for the marathon, so go and visit them before Sunday morning to get yours. They are also on sale in Snell Sports and Otavalo.
