Pisteur Died in a Fall at Grands Montets Yesterday
A 26 year old pisteur sadly lost his life yesterday in an accident
A young pisteur was called to fix some technical equipment at the top station of Grands Montets ski area yesterday when he fell around 150m.
A colleague who was working with him at the time alerted the emergency services after seeing him fall. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts neither his colleague or the PGHM were able to resusitate him.
The cause of the accident is currently unknown, although it's thought that perhaps fog or low cloud hampered his visibilty. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
