The ski run for the Chamonix World Cup ski event, the Verte des Houches, has been given the thumbs up by official FIS (International Ski Federation) inspector.

The Kandahar is set to stage the Men's Alpine Skiing World Cup on the 3rd, 4th & 5th of February

The FIS official came to Les Houches on Saturday to review the snow conditions and concluded that the piste known as the Verte des Houches (which is in fact a black run) was in "perfect condition".
The 20 kilometres of netting is now fully in place lining the descent and the arrival area is being finalised with tribunes, giant screens and catering areas.

The program is as follows and is free for all, tribune seating is 25 € per person (click here to book online)

Friday 3 February 2012 : Downhil
Saturday 4 February 2012 : Downhill
Sunday 5 February 2012 : Super Combined

The event will not be part of the World Cup circuit for the next two years so should not be missed!
