Help decide the future of the Mont Blanc Express

A meeting will take place this Thursday to decide the future development of the local rail service.

The Mont Blanc Express runs through the Chamonix Valley from Vallorcine to St Gervais. Local authorities have recently been trying to secure funding to improve the line, providing a more frequent service that would benefit locals and tourists alike.

It is hoped that work will begin in April 2012, although full details of the project have not yet been confirmed.

The meeting will be a public debate, open to all shareholders and rail users. It will take place in the Salle du Bicentenaire on Thursday 2nd February at 17:30.
