For a really complete view of the weather our satellite weather page brings you images from the EUMETSAT system of meteological satellites; showing weather patterns across Europe throughout the last 12 hours (and helpfully animated at a rate of one hour per frame). Rather than trusting the forecasters you can watch the weather patterns and draw your own conclusions.
The pictures are all colour-enhanced to help clearly show the outlines of the the landmasses, and the satellites use infrared imaging to accurately map cloud patterns - even at night when, of course, clouds wouldn't normally be visible.
