Didn’t quite make it to Vancouver last month? Then get yourself down to Flégère this weekend to take part in the Flying Kilometre!
A high speed race against the clock for which you’ll need nerves of steel; your descent will be timed and the fastest skiers and snowboarders down the course will win prizes such as new skis, a free Parapente session, restaurant vouchers, sports gear and other goodies.
The event is a fund-raiser for the Chamonix Angels women’s ice hockey team, who are trying to boost their coffers for a sports tour to Aspen, Colorado. Entry is just €2 per descent and the racing will take place on the Chavanne piste at Flegere. Turn up between 10am and 3pm on Saturday or Sunday to join the action!
