Getting Here

To access, take the train from the Montenvers station in central Chamonix to the Mer de Glace. From here the route will take you about 3hrs. Take the trails or ladders down town the glacier. Walk along the glacier and after a curve to the left then right, on the far left bank you should see a yellow arrow and ladders up to the mountain path that will lead you to the shelter. As the crevasses move frequently, it is best to confirm your path with the hut guardian when booking.
