This charming small self catered chalet is a perfect getaway for a couple or small family and is situated between Chamonix and Argentière in the village of Les Tines. Its location is ideal for those that want to ski in both Les Grands Montets and Flegere during the winter, and in the summer it is a great starting point for many country walks.
Light and very well decorated, the Mazot is made entirely of wood and looks out across magnificent mountain views, especially of Les Drus.
On the ground floor you will find a shower room, a neat little kitchen (with small oven, hob, fridge and washing machine) and dining area, all in wood of course. Beyond this is a living room with a large picture window (more views!).
For entertainment throughout your holiday the Mazot includes a flat-screen TV and WiFi access.
The mazot sleeps up to four in one double bedroom upstairs that opens out onto a balcony and a mezzanine sleeping platform with double bed in the living space on the ground floor.
Families & Kids
You’ll need to book your own childcare, when staying here. There is a great choice of childcare options in Chamonix from full-time nanny services to the odd night of babysitting. In addition, during the winter season, many of the ski-schools operate creche services. Booking in advance is always recommended and strongly advised for the school holiday periods.

You’ll need to book your own transfers when staying here. Your main options are shared or private transfers, but consider whether you would prefer a door-to-door service or a (generally cheaper) “communal” drop-off point at your destination.

You’ll need to book your own ski hire, when staying here. There are many choices for hiring equipment. Generally, you’re best off choosing somewhere close for ease of access, & less far to carry your kit, easier to make changes, and quicker to return and pay at the end. Nevertheless, many suppliers will deliver and some snow-front rental stores offer ski lockers, so it’s worth checking out all the options.

Instructors & Lessons
When staying here, you’ll need to book your own ski or snowboard lessons. Tuition is strongly recommended for complete beginners and is always a good idea whatever your level to perfect your technique. Guides & Tours

- "We decided this year to give skiing with our two young boys a try again, this after a couple of difficult ski trips in the past. WOW!!!! what an amazing time we had. Mazot Les Tines is perfect for couples and small families and ideally situated to take advantage of any of the available ski slopes in Chamonix. The chalet itself was well equipped and very comfortable. The views of the mountains from both the master room and the porch are nothing short of breath taking. The Collineige staff where absolutely amazing too, offering a very personal and local touch from advise on the best restaurants, kids ski schools, which slopes to use given our own skiing abilities and suggestions on other ski resorts on the one day that Chamonix had bad weather. Definitely highly recommend booking you next holiday through Collineige who have a range of accommodation choices. I certainly will." - Trip Advisor
- "Mazot Les Tines provided the most idyllic setting for our honeymoon. After a day on the slopes there was no better refuge than to return to our warm cosy Mazot. We were made to feel very welcome by the Collineige team, nothing was too much trouble and were very helpful in organising ski passes, lessons and restaurant recommendations. The living room provided magnificent views of Mont Blanc, a perfect place to let time slip by reading a book over a glass of wine. The galley type kitchen was more than sufficient to prepare simple meals and the piping hot shower was a knockout to awaken the senses. The bedroom was quaint with a comfortable bed accompanied again with amazing views. We rented a car but was hardly essential with the snow train on our door step as well as the ski buses. Highly recommended!" - Trip Advisor

There is plenty on offer in both in the winter and summer months. During the winter the Flegere cable care gives skiers and boarders access to the Flegere ski area which has a good selection of moderate to difficult pistes. It is also linked to the Brevent ski domaine which has plenty of off piste to keep more advanced skiers entertained. La Praz also offers a great 6km circuit cross-country ski area
Once summer arrives there are several walking and mountain biking trails that start in Les Praz. Visitors enjoy taking the path up from the valley floor to view the stunning surrounding scenery from the Le Floria cafe, where they can also enjoy a delicious lunch before carrying on to the refuge at Lac Blanc.
