Mazot Florence Chalet, Chamonix - Centre

1 bedroom Chalet in Chamonix. Sleeps 2

Featured in:

This is a beautiful, traditional self-contained Mazot that offers cosy and comfortable self-catering accommodation for two.

This mazot is set within the grounds of a larger chalet, in a quiet private residential area, just five minutes walk from the centre of Chamonix. Situated on the sunny side of the valley, it boasts magnificent 360-degree views including Mont Blanc and the spectacular Les Bossons glacier.

The interior of the property has been decorated in a charming Savoyard style with wooden finishing and bright homely furnishings. The living space consists of a dining table and chairs for four people and a double bed with plenty of cushions, so you can stretch out and relax at the end of the day. To keep you entertained of an evening, there is an HD TV with satellite channels, a DVD player and WiFi access.

The kitchen is separate and comes fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday, including a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience and raclette and fondue sets are available from the owners if you want to try your hand at some Savoyard specialities.

Outside is a terrace garden where you can enjoy al-fresco dining and BBQs in the summer months. Guests can also take advantage of fresh organic vegetables straight from the garden.

On arrival, you can expect a personal welcome from Florence herself, and she remains on hand should you need anything during your stay. She will gladly provide you with local information and suggestions to ensure that you get the most from your stay in the Chamonix Valley. If you are looking to pamper yourself a bit whilst on holiday, she can also organise massage and beauty treatments on your behalf, or why not learn a bit of the local language during your stay and let Florence arrange a private French lesson.

For those travelling with animals, well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome for the additional charge of €50 per week.

The chalet sleeps two in one double bed within the main living area.

This property is let on a self-catering basis. However, a sumptuous French breakfast or private catering can be organised on your behalf at an additional cost.

Ideal for couples looking for a private chalet to themselves. With its romantic setting, it is particularly suited to those on honeymoon.

What else to book

You’ll need to book your own transfers when staying here. Your main options are shared or private transfers, but consider whether you would prefer a door-to-door service or a (generally cheaper) “communal” drop-off point at your destination.

If you are using a bus or train transfer, the owners of the chalet are happy to collect you from the train or bus station on request.

Ski Hire

You’ll need to book your own ski hire, when staying here. There are many choices for hiring equipment. Generally, you’re best off choosing somewhere close for ease of access, & less far to carry your kit, easier to make changes, and quicker to return and pay at the end. Nevertheless, many suppliers will deliver and some snow-front rental stores offer ski lockers, so it’s worth checking out all the options.

Instructors & Lessons

Groups are also a generally cheaper option for adults, however, with a private instructor you’ll have undivided attention and be able to progress at your own pace.

Visitor comments

  • "We cannot say enough nice things about our stay in Florence’s chalet. From the time we arrived until we left, Florence made sure that everything was taken care of. The chalet was beautifully furnished and had views of Mont Blanc that are out of this world. We had considered several other places before choosing this one and are so glad we did. In the evenings, its very quiet and away from the noise of downtown Chamonix. However, the shops/restaurants in Chamonix are just a short walk away, which we walked to nearly everyday. The hiking nearby was challenging and offered great views of alps. Look no further if you want a quaint, quiet, little chalet with wonderful views and an amazing hostess. Florence truly took care of everything. We were even fortunate enough to share dinner with her one evening, which was very enjoyable to hear more about the history of Chamonix and her chalets.I hope that we’ll be able to visit Chamonix again and if we do, we’ll definitely be staying in this chalet again!" - Guest Feedback
  • "We booked Mazot Florence at the last minute for UK half term week. It's in a great location, very quiet yet close to Central Chamonix. The mazot is full of character with lots of carved wood. It is basically a 1 room studio but is the perfect size for 2 people. There are plenty of features including a nespresso machine. It is probably 30% more expensive than an apartment, but worth it due to the character and quiet location. Many thanks to Florence for welcoming us warmly with wine and local jam!" - Guest Feedback
