Carlton Rowlands is a UK and French registered Osteopath based at the Clinique du Sport in Chamonix.
He graduated with a Masters Degree and distinction in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University. Carlton adopts a dynamic modern approach to musculoskeletal challenges having conducted primary research on lower limb injuries and rehabilitation in the context of barefoot running. This has since won academic accolades at University and International level. With partner Suzy he chose the dream relocation to the Alps to further his profession as a member of LCDS with a view to providing elite level musculoskeletal care alongside the highly skilled team in place and is very keen to learn from this vast experience.
Besides an intimate knowledge of lower limb injuries, as an Osteopath his professional skills offer a broad global and functional approach. A detailed and specific diagnosis and treatment plan is always established; he endeavours to truly understand you and the biomechanics of your complaint, and ensures that you understand it too. This fundamentally holistic system along with Carlton’s own ethos means that treatment provided ensures a return to life as you know it, no compromises, just full function, you at your best!
Highly adept at dealing with sports injuries he is also well versed in chronic or long term problems such as lower back pain and chronic pain patterns, from patients of every walk of life, young and old. Carlton relishes the challenges brought by complex clinical pictures, such as those created from demands of an extreme lifestyle in Chamonix.
The clinic is conveniently located on Rue Joseph Vallot, just a couple of minutes walk north of the pedestrianised centre of Chamonix.
