From the 21st-28th September 2019, come to Chamonix and immerse yourself in yoga and nature trails.

This retreat will help you to move forward with your running and yoga practice whether you are an experienced athlete or just starting out. There will be a Yoga Flow Running workshop with tips and techniques, trail running with experienced guides, daily yoga classes designed especially for runners, healthy nutrition based meals and ultimate relaxation in a luxury Alpine chalet with spa and on-site massages included.

Led by the wonderful and experienced yoga instructor and running coach Helen Clare, she will guide you through a series of yoga classes, that will benefit you as a runner, in terms of strengthening key muscle groups and enhancing flexibility and range of motion, breathing and alignment. She will also show you how to apply key yoga principles to your running, helping you run more efficiently and safely, reducing the risk of injury, increasing the ease and the fun. Ultimately, running safer, further and faster!

During the retreat, Helen will lead a Yoga Flow Running™ workshop to further embed the key principles taught in the yoga sessions, that can be transferred into running, for the most natural technique. Learn to take the key principles from yoga, such as alignment, posture, strength, flexibility, focus and breathing, to run more naturally, aiding efficiency, leading to injury free, fun running.

On one day you will head to Italy to spend a day at the Pre St Didier Spa with its innumerable steam rooms, hammams, treatment rooms, relaxation rooms, Jacuzzis, thermal baths, flotation pools, waterfalls, meditation rooms, Kneipp hydrotherapies, foot baths (the list is endless), with something for everyone to enjoy.

This retreat is open to all levels of experience.

The luxury chalet is located on the road up to Le Coupeau, near Les Houches, whilst most of the activities are based in Chamonix. The chalet has 7 bedrooms, all with French doors leading out on to a South facing balcony overlooking the Chamonix valley. The bedrooms can be shared twins or doubles with a super king sized bed and all have ensuite facilities, LCD TV and DVD player. The chalet has its own spa with a sauna and steam room and treatment room for the on-site massages. The deck is the ideal place for yoga, complete with Jacuzzi and an outdoor pool.

What to bring

As with all mountain regions the weather is unpredictable, so it's worth checking the weather report before you travel. It can be extremely hot on sunny days and occasionally very cold, even in summer.

Bluerise recommend you bring running shoes with good grip, sunglasses, suncream, a bathing suit (for the hot tub, pool and spa), a waterproof jacket, warm layers (a fleece if you have one) in case of cold weather and clothing to practice yoga in.
