Chamonix Dump Alert: 13th March 2018
It snowed on and off for most of the day yesterday at high altitude in Chamonix, with rain at valley level. Things started to intensify last night. Since then, there’s been fairly constant light snowfall resulting in around 20cm lying at 2500m and 30cm at high altitude.
With the freezing level expected to stay hovering between 1000m and 1500m today, there should be continued snow to most levels before the weather clears tomorrow.
Mark it in your diary – tomorrow is looking like one of those epic, bluebird-after-a-storm days. We’re then expecting yet more flurries through the week.
