Chamonix Dump Alert: 10th February 2016

After a very rainy end to the day yesterday, the temperatures started to drop and we woke up to a good 5-10cm of snow in town.

Up on the mountain there has been another good dump, and there are lots of avalanche control blasts going off still this morning.

To see what lifts and pistes are open in each of the ski areas, check in on the Live Lift Status which is updated throughout the day.

The avalanche risk has gone back up to HIGH 4/5 so it's best to avoid off piste skiing in conditions like this. Read our guide about understanding and avoiding avalanches

Fresh snow fall stats are as follows:

  • Aiguille du Midi - 20cm
  • Grands Montets - Top 80cm / Mid station 45cm
  • Brevent - Top 55cm / Mid station 45cm
  • Flegere - Top 50cm / Mid station 45cm
  • Le Tour / Balme - Top 50cm / Mid station 40cm
  • Les Houches - 10cm
