Chamonix Dump Alert: 18th September 2017

It's September and it's snowing in Chamonix. 

The photo above, from the mid station webcam at Grands Montets is at 1973m shows a good covering of snow.

Over in Le Tour at the Tete de Balme (2321m) it had snowed a little over the weekend and today there's even more snow up there.

It's too early for skiing at the moment though and we'd need a heck of a lot more snow than has fallen in the last few days. Chamonix is set to open for skiing (snow cover permitting) from 16th December 2017.

Let's hope this snow keeps coming and gives us a good start to the season...
