Chamonix Dump Alert: 31st January 2016

It was raining at town level all day yesterday, with high winds and lots of snow falling up top.

Here are the latest stats for what fell around the valley:

  • Aiguille du Midi - 50cm
  • Brevent - Top 40cm / Mid station 12cm
  • Flegere - Top 40cm / Mid station 12cm
  • Grands Montets - Top 80cm / Mid station 12cm
  • Le Tour / Balme - 10cm
  • Les Houches - 15cm

The avalanche risk has gone back up to 4/5 so conditions off piste are extremely dangerous. Enjoy the fresh snow, but be careful out there people!
