Chamonix Dump Alert: 3rd March 2016

There's snow back on the valley floor this morning, only a few centimetres, but it's still falling as I write. Visibility is low as a result of fresh snow and gusting winds in higher parts of the ski areas means that a number of the ski lifts are still waiting to open.

Check in on the Live Lift status for updates on the ski lifts & pistes that are currently open, or when they are due to open.

Fresh snow fall *stats this morning are as follows:

Aiguille du Midi - 150cm!
Grands Montets - Top 5cm (windblown) / Mid station32cm
Brevent - Top 4cm (windblown) / Mid station 30cm
Flegere - Top 5cm (windblown) / Mid station 32cm
Le Tour / Balme - Top 4cm (windblown) / Mid station 4cm (windblown)
Les Houches - 3cm

The avalanche risk is currently set at 3/5 across the valley and the region is on alert for avalanches at the moment.

Find out more about conditions in our regular Chamonix snow reports.
