Chamonix Dump Alert: 4th April 2019

It started snowing last evening in the Chamonix Valley and it keeps chucking it down with snow. So far, around 35cm have fallen down at valley floor level, with to 60cm on the slopes but it's forecast to snow throughout the day.

Spring has given way to winter for a day in Chamonix, bringing lots of fat, fluffy flakes. Avalanche blasting has been echoing through the valley this morning and there are some late openings and pistes closed for the day, mainly in Brévent, Flégère and Les Grands Montets.

The forecast is for sun tomorrow, so Friday will be a bluebird! Get out there and enjoy the powder.
