Chamonix Dump Alert: 6th March 2017

High winds rolled into the Chamonix Valley on Saturday and so did the snow clouds.

It's been snowing on and off all weekend and there's over 1.3 metres in some of the forecasts in the next 48 hours. High winds are still causing lift closures this morning which you can see on our Live Lift & Piste Status page for each of the different Chamonix ski areas.

As a result of all this fresh snow the avalanche risk is teetering on the edge of 3-4 / 5 and this is expected to increase by tomorrow. Stay safe out there and don't ignore the risks!
