Chamonix Dump Alert: 6th November 2017

Wintry weather is here bringing significant amounts of snow with up to 50cm up in the high mountains and between 20-30cm on ski slopes, mid-mountain.

After a few pre-season snowfalls to whet our appetite, it looks like winter is setting in properly. Temperatures are forecast to stay low with unsettled weather continuing for the coming week. This is likely to another 15cm over the next few days. Hopefully, this means a gradual, safe build up of the snowpack in time for the official opening of the ski season on the 8th of December.
