Chamonix Dump Alert: 7th March 2017

We've had the mother of all dumps overnight, with around 30cm in Chamonix centre along and much, much more up on the mountain.

Fresh snow overnight is as follows

  • Chamonix Centre - 30cm
  • Aiguille du Midi - tbc
  • Grands Montets - 90cm at 1972m - 1metre at 3275m
  • Flegere - 90cm at 1890m
  • Brevent - 80cm at 2000m
  • Le Tour - 85cm at 1850m
  • Les Houches - 50cm at 1800m
  • St Gervais & Megeve - 50cm at 1840m & 50cm at 1840m
  • Les Contamines - 60cm at 1880m & 60cm at 2450m

The avalanche risk has gone up to 4/5 so there's a very high risk of slides.

At the time of writing lots of lifts are planned to open at around 10am. To check in this morning and throughout the day, take a look at our Live Lift Status page.

Keep up to date when it snows in Chamonix with our Dump Alert. Whether you are hoping for a holiday you’ve already booked or keeping an eye out for late-booking inspiration, the Chamonix Dump Alert will ensure you know the second it starts snowing!
