Free Avalanche Awareness Lectures at The Jekyll

Come along to The Jekyll & Hyde bar on Monday evenings at the start of this season for a series of free lectures on Avalanche safety and awareness with the Avalanche Academy - raising awareness and reducing risk on the mountain. They're the first and only dedicated Avalanche training school in Chamonix.

Lectures run for just over one hour, and cover the causes of avalanches, ways to travel more safely, spotting danger signs, and emergency procedures. All lectures will be delivered by English speaking IFMGA Mountain Guides living full-time in the Chamonix Valley.

They will also be tweeting a daily English avalanche forecast for the Chamonix area. Follow them on Twitter.

Please note that this season there will only be 5 presentations given so book early to reserve your places. Arrive early to get the best seats, and REMEMBER THAT THIS IS FREE - SHOW YOUR THANKS TO THE JEKYLL FOR HOSTING THE EVENT BY BUYING A DRINK.
