Corsican Festival in Chamonix

3 day festival celebrating all things Corsican in Chamonix

featured in Events calendar Updated

La Corse a Cham returns to Chamonix for 3 days of Corsican culture, music, dancing, food, drink and entertainment.

From Friday to Sunday the centre of Chamonix will host a market selling typical Corsican produce and there will be free open air concerts and entertainment as well as the chance to win ferry tickets and holidays to the island.

A number of bars and restaurants will be hosting special events, serving Corsican dishes to the sounds of musicians from the idyllic island off the south coast of France.

Although Corsica is classed as a region of France it is actually closer to Italy and influences of both countries have shaped its culture. The island was once an independent republic and Corsicans are fiercely proud of their history; this annual festival is a great way to discover more about the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Look out for things going on in the Majestic, Hotel Heliopic, various bars & restaurants around Chamonix, place de la poste and Cinema Vox.
