Grit & Rock Festival, Chamonix / Mont Blanc Valley
Celebrating and redefining women in alpinism
The Grit & Rock Festival celebrates women's achievements in the mountains. This year, they celebrate their festival in Chamonix with a film festival, skills clinic, social hour and, of course, the Awards Gala.
The focus of the festival is on connecting and inspiring women who love adventure and cherish the radical. This year, they have teamed up with the NO MAN'S LAND FILM FESTIVAL to bring to Chamonix a selection of the very best short movies about women in adventure.
Over the two days, they will be offering 4 girls-only alpine skills clinics ranging from ice climbing to ski alpinism, glacial skills and steep skiing led by female guides (follow the links to book your ticket). There will also be an opportunity to socialise over a glass of wine or stretching in a yoga studio.
The festival will culminate with the Awards Gala held at the Blue Ice HQ in Les Houches on 10/02/2018 at 19:00. The evening will celebrate the journeys of 2017 GRIT&ROCK FIRST ASCENT grant laureates with the jury announcing the 2018 winners.
