The 2005/2006 winter season will be the second season for the British Alpine Ski & Snowboard School (BASS) in Chamonix, France. The aim is to build on last years very successful first season supplying high quality, English-speaking client centred courses for British skiers, providing an even wider choice to winter sports enthusiasts who plan to visit Chamonix this winter.

BASS Chamonix is dedicated to making the whole winter sports experience in the Mountains the "best it can be" providing a friendly approach for first timers and experts alike. Commenting on the coming season for BASS Chamonix, Director Shona Tate said, “We are ready to provide skiers with a warm welcome to the Chamonix Valley this season and with the addition of Alison Culshaw to our small but elite team we are looking forward to helping holiday makers achieve their skiing goals.

Whether first timers or regular skiers who always take ski lessons we plan to make it an enjoyable experience with the benefit instruction in English! “No Mountain is too high or too small it's just how you tackle it!”

Apart from offering a full range of ski school lessons for groups and individuals, last season saw the introduction of the “Backcountry Adventure Skiing Programme”. These one week courses combine the teaching skills of BASS Chamonix with the high mountain guiding skills of Robbie Fenlon (UIAGM). If you are looking for a little more than just piste skiing then these courses are for you. For the coming season there will be courses in January and March (see website for details)

BASS Chamonix is part of the bigger BASS Network that now has Snowsport schools operating in Courchevel, Les Gets, Morzine, Tignes, Val D'isere and Verbier.
