Boss des Bosses - Inter Resort Moguls Comp.

featured in News & reviews Author Helen McGrory, Chamonix Reporter Updated

Now in its 18th year, the Boss des Bosses inter resort moguls race will take place on the Grands Montets tomorrow from 11.30am. Teams from Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens, Zermatt, Val d'Isere and Chamonix will compete against each other on a knee shattering bumps course for the Boss des Bosses crown.

Each team is made up of 13 competitors; 9 skiers (7 male/2 female), 2 boarders (unisex) and 2 telemarkers (strong thighs) who race head to head in pairs with the rival resorts. It's not just speed and style on the bumps that will be put to the test; the course ends in a Big Air jump that that will have you craning your necks skywards as all concept of self-preservation is forgotten.

Memorable moments from last year include the furry suited cat and mouse duo from Meribel's Magic in Motion, world renowned freeskier Glenn Plake skiing for the Chamonix team and his wife Kimberley cranking some huge air in an orange day-glo bikini!

There will be crowds of resort workers bussed in from all over the alps so make sure you come along to support the local Chamonix team and reigning champs!

The apres party carries on afterwards at La Terrasse with live music from the Juggernaut of Rock and prize giving; and fun and shennanigans will continue into the small hours at Le Vert and The Clubhouse.
