Chambéry Airport has announced an increase in its winter flights, further increasing skiers' choice of low cost trips to the Alps with more possibilities for short stays and long weekends on the piste. British company Flybe will once again run four weekly flights from Southampton (Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun) from 15th December, and will increase from one to four weekly flights from Birmingham (same days). Flybe will run two new routes this winter: Saturday flights from Norwich (from 17th December) and Exeter (from 24 December).

Jet 2 will be offering two new routes to Chambéry from Manchester and Leeds/Bradford. Five flights per week are planned (Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun) from 17 December to 23 April.

Transavia will also increase its flights to Amsterdam, adding two weekly flights (Tues, Thurs) to its regular Saturday flight.
