Flybe launched the first flights of its exciting ski programme from a number of its main bases this weekend. With first ever-flights to ski destinations from Norwich and Exeter and the introduction of a brand new route into Bern from Birmingham and Southampton.

Skiers from the Midlands and South can now fly direct from Birmingham to Bern, the capital of Switzerland and just a thirty-minute drive from the Swiss Alps. The new route gives skiers easy access to six Swiss resorts in the beautiful Jungfrau region of the Bernese Oberland.

From Exeter, Norwich, Southampton and Birmingham fly to Chambery, the capital of France's Savoie region and situated at the foot of the Alps giving easy access to the French ski resorts of Courchevel, Meribel, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Tignes and Val d'Isere. The route to Geneva offers skiers a direct route to the Swiss Alps, with easy access to dozens of ski resorts in both France and Switzerland and flights to Salzburg will take you within easy reach of popular resorts of Zell am see and Saalbach.

To celebrate the start of the ski season, Flybe has also teamed up with the Ski Club of Great Britain to exclusively offer all passengers travelling on their winter routes one free day's skiing with a Ski Club of Great Britain representative. Flybe passengers simply have to show their boarding pass to the representative at their resort to take advantage of this great offer to hone their ski skills and make sure they really fly on the slopes this season.

Booking at www.flybe.com offers passengers a one-stop-shop for everything they'll need for their ski holiday – from pre-booking resort hotel accommodation and Avis car hire to great rates on ski equipment hire and guaranteed carriage of ski equipment.
