This winter sees the opening of a new ski kindergarten facility situated at the base of the Planards pistes. This is in addition to the existing club based on the Savoy piste behind Club Med. The new Kid's Club accepts children between the ages of 3 -12 years and boasts a new magic carpet lift in its vast “jardin des neiges”.

As every year, the Ecole du Ski de Chamonix has a talented team of ski and snowboard instructors, ready to teach the specially designed programme to the numerous groups of children that visit each winter. The teaching format primarily concentrates on skiing/boarding technique but also aims to educate the youngsters on considerate and safe mountain use. This year also sees the introduction of two new ESF levels for children; ”l'ourson” (bear) and “l'etoile de bronze” (bronze star) which are in addition to the familiar snowflake, 1st, 2nd, 3rd star and gold star tests. These two additional stages have been introduced to ensure that children can progress at a pace at which they are happy.
