Reduced service on Bellevue cable car
From Monday, the Bellevue cable car in Les Houches will be closed to repair damage to the second cable that probably occured during the recent storms in Chamonix.
It is anticipated that the cable car will be closed for one week however a limited service using just the one cable car will operate as of Monday 27 August.
Those wishing to use the cable car to begin their ascent of Mont Blanc can use the Tramway du Mont Blanc. Although this was also recently closed due to storm damage this reopened on 07 August 2007 and is running from Le Fayet up to Nid d'Aigle.
