Repairs to Aiguille du Midi Cable-car to cost €5 million
Following the incident where the main cable of the cable-car was released during routine maintenance expected losses have been announced. The breakdown of the cost is €2m for repairs and €3m for loss of revenue.
The earliest predictions for services to be back in operation are mid-July. Frustrated mountain-guides and climbers are using the Montenvers or the Saint Gervais mountain trains.
The Brevent cable-car remains in action throughout.
