This year's Ultra Trail Mont Blanc was won yesterday afternoon by Vincent Delebarre in 21h 06 mins, beating last year's winner Dachhiri-Dawa Sherpa who came second in 23h 02 mins. Third was given to Jean-Cluade Pache in 23h 40 mins. (All pictured, right).

Vincent Delebarre is a Chamonix local mountain guide.

At time of writing, Sunday afternoon and 48 hours since the start, a number of competitors are still making their way to the finish line. This is still an remarkable acheivement for a race which is 155km long and takes participants over a vertical ascent and descent equivalent of climbing up and down Mount Everest.

The clock will continue to tick until 4.07pm this afternoon, 48 hours after the race begun. It is expected that more than 380 participants will have crossed the line by the finish.

Congratulations to all who have taken part!
