48 competitors were raced yesterday for downhill competition on “la Verte” of “les Houches”.
Final ranking on arrival:
1. Johann GRUGGER (AUT) en 1:56.93
2. Kristian GUEDINA (ITA) en 1:57.04
3. M. WALCHHOFER (AUT) en 1:57.07
The 13th edition of Kandahar and its legendary descent exceeded all expectations: great weather, fabulous sporting suspense and a mythical track which delighted once more. The publi and professionals, came in droves: 18,000 people massed at the start, along the track and on the arrival area. undoubtedly there were more people than in 2005: trains overcrowded, carparks full; worthy of the greatest Austrian races and impressive falls will remain for a long time in the memories of all those who watched.
