La Maison Carrier Restaurant Review

We were not disappointed! From the start the staff were attentive and friendly without being pushy. We chose to have the Menu du Marché which was at a very reasonable €19. The menu includes the Plat du Jour and as many desserts from their pudding buffet as you want - dangerous - it is probably just as well I am not too much of a regular here as they have some of the yummiest desserts in town.
As you can see from the photo, I took full advantage of the buffet. There were so many tasty options available, it would have been dreadfully wrong of me to miss the opportunity to sample them all. I particularly recommend the Créme Caramel - it was to die for.

Back to the Plat du Jour which was Beef Sirloin served with Lyonnaise Potatoes. It was simply delicious. The beef was perfectly cooked, the portion was of a good size and the dish was well presented. Thanks to the quick and efficient service of our waiter, the food was the perfect temperature as well.

As we seem to be receiving an bit of an Indian summer this September we decided to sit outside in the delightful garden terrace were you can enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains.

The Maison du Carrier is ideal for those looking for a fine dining experience in an elegant atmosphere. It would be a great place for a special occasion or just a lovely family meal out. If you have dogs, you can bring them along too. Like so many places in France the restaurant is pet friendly.

Overall we had a wonderful time and felt it was money well spent on fantastic food. We shall certainly be back again before too long; although I have had to promise my wife not to eat so many desserts next time.
