Chamonix's own crowned five time climbing champ

Reigning European champion, local climber Romain Desgranges took the title at the recent French Climbing Championships in Arnas.

Desgranges reclaimed the title after a two year hiatus, making him five time French champion. Head of the French climbing team, the Chamoniard is looking forward to a strong season on the lead climbing World Cup circuit, kicking off in Villars, Switzerland, July 6th.

Desgranges will surely be on top form for his home event when the IFSC World Cup comes to Chamonix from July 11th to 13th. The lead and speed climbing event is set to return to the Haute Savoie for 2018, before the circuit moves on to Briançon on July 20th.
