Cold sunshine in Le Tour
Perfect piste and park in Chamonix
It hasn't snowed for a little while, but temperatures have stayed delightfully low. On piste conditions are as good as they're likely to get, cold, soft, grippy snow.
The sun was out, and the holiday crowds haven't quite arrived yet so we had plenty of room to cruise around the resort. The snow park is open and the jumps are nicely shaped, so if you are so inclined it's a great time to get in the park.
It is forecast to stay cold however it will get cloudier over the next few days, then in the middle of next week we are expecting significant snowfall. Avalanche risk is at 2/5, however, winds earlier in the week and lot's of traffic have taken their toll on the off-piste skiing.
