Mer de Glace temporary closure May 2017

Due to ongoing renovation works, the Montenvers Train and Mer de Glace site will be closed to visitors on Tuesday 23rd May 2017.

The closure should only last one day, with normal services resuming on Wednesday 24th May.

Renovation work started on the site last year to refit the Montenvers hotel & refuge, rebuild the station shops and cafe, as well as the Panoramic restaurant overlooking the glacier.

The works should be completed in July 2017, when there will be a grand unveiling.
