The Virgin Strive Challenge started in 2012 to raise funds for Big Change, a UK charity that helps young people thrive in life. In its fifth edition, the challenge will take participants from Sardinia all the way to the summit of Mont Blanc.

The core team is comprised of 16 people, including Sir Richard Branson and his son Sam, as well as a group of high-profile entrepreneurs, businesspeople and activists. They will undertake the entire journey, starting in Sardinia on August 30th and ending in Chamonix on September 30th where they will attempt to climb the world famous Mont Blanc, western Europe's highest summit.

Before arriving in Chamonix, they need to finish four days of cycling and two of kayaking in Sardinia, a five-day hike in Corsica, another five-day cycling stage from Monaco to Tignes and a five-day hike between Tignes and Chamonix. Other participants will join them along the way but only the core team will attempt to climb Mont Blanc.

You can follow their progress and donate on their website.
