38 year old French skier died at Grands Montets
A tragic accident occurred yesterday morning at Grands Montets, when a skier left the piste hitting hard packed snow and then fell, unable to stop himself.
The 38 year old Frenchman from Paris was skiing with a friend when the accident occurred. They had left the top cable car at Grands Montets and were in the Combe des Rachasses sector.
He apparently came off the piste and fell around one to two hundred metres and struck rocks before coming to a stop.
Sadly the rescue workers were unable to save him and he died on the scene.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
