Skier in fatal fall on the Argentiere glacier
200m fall near the refuge d'Argentiere
More sad news this morning, that a 70 year old skier sadly fell to his death yesterday whilst ski touring near the Refuge d'Argentiere.
It's not clear what happened but the alert was raised by the group the man was ski touring with, after he fell around 200 metres.
The PGHM could only confirm the man's death on the scene.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
